BUGZ – 10 GLOBAL HOLIDAY RESORTS – TUI SENSATORI
Project: BUGZ Character Development
The brief was to create a custom set of characters that would appeal to children aged 6 and below while promoting educational values in an entertaining package. The characters were designed as four puppets, one with hand-glove designs and the others with rod disciplines, operated by the cast who were given distinct personalities, voices and character arcs. To support the main stage performances, animated screens were introduced along with original songs. The puppets were manufactured and distributed worldwide and training procedures were instilled to ensure performers knew how to properly handle their respective puppets and portray their puppet characteristics both in dialogue and in song.
